Receiving Their Black Belts 🥋👏

23 Jun 2026

Achieving a Black Belt is about far more than learning kicks, punches and self-defence techniques. It represents years of dedication, perseverance and personal growth.

To earn a Black Belt, students must demonstrate:

  • Consistent attendance and commitment to training.
  • Technical proficiency across a wide range of syllabus material.
  • Physical fitness, coordination and control.
  • The ability to perform under pressure during demanding grading examinations.
  • Respect, discipline and a positive attitude both inside and outside the dojo.
  • Resilience to overcome setbacks, challenges and moments of self-doubt.
  • A willingness to help and support fellow students on their own martial arts journey.

A Black Belt is not the end of the journey; it is the beginning of a deeper level of learning and understanding. It signifies that a student has mastered the fundamentals and is ready to continue pursuing excellence.

Congratulations to our two newest Black Belts on reaching this significant milestone. Their hard work, determination and commitment have paid off, and we look forward to seeing what they achieve next.

The pursuit of excellence never rests. 👊🥋
