Celebrating Our Inspiring Journey Towards Bronze and Gold Awards in the Empowering Coaching Mentorship Programme!
Well done to both of you.
At YSMS, we implement a mentorship programme designed to enhance the skills of our most promising students. This programme has four levels: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Participants are required to assume the role of assistant instructors in classes, accumulating hours that contribute towards their progression. As they complete these hours, they move closer to achieving their next level. Upon reaching a new tier, students are assigned specific tasks that they must complete to earn that award.

Bronze - 20 hours
The programme consists of 20 hours of one-on-one coaching between a coach and a student. This coaching is conducted under the supervision and guidance of the class instructor, who provides essential oversight and mentoring to enhance the student’s coaching skills and techniques. To achieve the bronze award, the student is required to design a class warm-up session that includes all pertinent stretches and a detailed breakdown of the coaching techniques involved.

Gold - 100 hours
To achieve the Gold level in coaching, candidates are required to complete 100 hours of coaching experience, which includes both one-on-one and group coaching sessions. Prior to advancing to Gold, individuals must successfully pass the Bronze and Silver levels. The Bronze level requires the candidate to plan a warm-up session, while the Silver level involves delivering the planned warm-up effectively. At the Gold level, candidates must plan an entire coaching class. As coaches progress through these levels, there is decreased oversight, reflecting an increase in their confidence and expertise.
